I am a social worker, psychotherapist, teacher and supervisor. I have been involved in Core Energetics for over 25 years. I finished my training in Core Energetics Institute in New York. I also finished there my teacher’s training program and later became a supervisor. I worked at the NY Institute for 12 years, teaching, leading groups and supervising students.
At this same time, I had my private practice in NY for over 20 years working with individual
clients and groups. In 1995 I became a personal assistant for the creator of Core Energetics – John Pierrakos MD, and I worked for him until his death in February 2001. My work with Dr. Pierrakos was an extraordinary experience that had a deep impact on my life. It was a unique opportunity to experience and learn CE in its most original form. In 2015, together with my friend and colleague – Liz Carl, we came to Poland with a series of workshops and in 2016 we started the first professional training in Core Energetics in Poland.
Right now working for our Institute Core Energetics Polska is my main job. Aside from that I work in private practice and lead workshops. I also teach in CE institutes in Greece, Holland and Italy. I am a member of the American Association for Body Psychotherapy.Core Energetics dramatically changed my life and every day I witness how it brings profound changes to the lives of my clients. Teaching CE in Poland is both a privilege and in some way a duty. It is certainly the biggest challenge I have undertaken in my life so far.
I enjoy sharing my experience and my knowledge with our students, this gives me deep joy and sense of fulfillment.
I have worked as a psychotherapist and social worker since 1988, treating individuals, couples and groups . I am also a Teacher and Supervisor for the New York Institute of Core Energetics along with being a guest teacher at the Core Energetics Institutes in Holland, Mexico and Canada.
As a therapist and teacher of Core Energetics, I have had many opportunities to witness the important and courageous changes my clients and students make to give their life more meaning.
Poland, the homeland of my parents, is a country and culture that my heart and soul are deeply connected to. For a long time, my dream was to bring the work of Core Energetics to my ancestral home. Now that we have started a Four year training program, it is so exciting to be teaching the future Polish speaking Core Energetics Therapists.

studied psychology at Adelphi University where she completed all requirements for her Ph.D degree with the exception of completing a dissertation. She subsequently interned for two years at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. She is a Certified gestalt Therapist, having completed four years of training at The New Institute for Gestalt Therapy in New York, as well as a Certified Core Energetics Practitioner having graduated from the Core Energetics Institute in New York. She has also studied Psychosynthesis with Tom Yeomans, and has completed a training in Past Life regression with Roger Woolger. In addition she has been a student of James Hillman, having attended a great number of his seminars as well as having participated in a Hillman Study Group for a number of years. She brings to her a work a synthesis of all her training. She works with people to help them dissolve blocks which prevent them from creating to their true potential by addressing the emotional, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of their being.
Erena has been working with Individuals, couples and groups for the last 30 years. She has also taught psychology at St. Francis College and Nassau Community College. She has been on the faculty of the Core Energetic Institute in New York where she also was Director of Education from 1987-1988. She currently trains therapists as part of her work with the Institute for Psychotherapeutic Advancement in the 21st Century. She has co-created the COREPATH training program in Brasil, where she teaches. In addition she teaches at the Core Energetic Institute in Brasilia and is developing a new program in Greece which will be based on Core Energetic and Pathwork Principles.
is director of Netherlands Institute of Core Energetics (NICE). Since 1982 she is a methods teacher and has her own practice. Anna is certified by the European Certification of Psychotherapy. She followed the Bio Energetics Analysis training and is trained in Core Energetics by John Pierrakos. She is co-owner of Cordium, center for growth and development in Nijmegen. Anna teaches also in Mexico, New York and California. Her passion is to train Core Energetic therapists and to develop Core Energetics as an autonomous method of therapy in the Netherlands.
is a Core Energetics therapist since 2001 and a senior faculty member of the Core Energetics Institute in Holland. Has been an international teacher in Los Angeles and London. He is trained as a Core Energetics therapist in Berlin and completed a Post Graduate study in New York. He is certified as a Embodied Couples Worker. After twenty years –in several jobs- as a nurse and manager in public health care, he realised more and more what he missed: the holistic approach. Then he discovered Core-Energetics.
In a personal quest he found out that it literally and figuratively gave him more freedom of movement. He was mesmerized by it ! After a two year body oriented training in Holland and the four year Core training in Berlin, he built up his practice. He works with individual clients, co leads two mixed on going groups and works with couples. Two times a year he organizes all-men workshops. For more than 9 years he is a teacher/supervisor/learning therapist in the Dutch Core program. And a learning therapist for students of a healing school. Achiel loves to work with the body as a compass; in order to free up the enormous potential of energy and pleasure. He feels privileged to guide others in this journey. It is an honour to teach of what he knows. He is 56 years old, married for 16 years and is the father of two sons.
Melissa Hillery is a Certified Core Energetics Practitioner, Systemic Constellations Facilitator and movement teacher. She is the Director of CORE London and enjoys creating community and bringing people together to explore the importance of connection and leading a full and satisfying life. Melissa is passionate about making CORE accessible to everyone.

Graduated from the New York Core Energetics Institute in 2010. Since then he quitted his job as a consultant and started his private practice. Main reason for him was to get rid of the “head stuff” and the desire to explore the world of “not knowing”. He focused himself on Leadership and working with young adults. He loves the aliveness of the work and committed himself fully to bring Core Energetics more into the world. He is co-owner of Cordium, center for growth and personal development in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Ivan Sebastiani is the director of the Italian Institute of Core Energetics. He was trained by John Pierrakos nearly 3 decades ago and he has been practicing Core Energetics ever since. Currently he teaches Core Energetics not only in Italy but also in Greece, Holland, Poland, UK, Mexico and USA.
Ivan is committed to bring to the world John and Eva Pierrakos’ teachings, helping people to remove the obstacles around the heart.
Kathleen Goldberg (LCSW) entered therapy in 1974 to address childhood trauma and a near death crisis during her rock and roll twenties. Discovering the Pathwork in 1978 led her to Core Energetics. She became a Pathwork Helper in 1984 and holds a Masters degree in Social Work from The University of Michigan. She has worked as a hospital social worker, psychiatric/addictions’ specialist in intensive outpatient treatment and mental health clinics.
For 40 years she has studied the Pathwork and is honored to have taught the Guide material.
She has been committed to integrating the spiritual and psychological in embodied ways while having fun and laughter in the mix. For 30 years Kathleen has collaborated with her husband Ken Goldberg, MD integrating Core Energetics and the Pathwork. Kathleen offers individual sessions in person and online, provides consultation in spiritual/personal growth incorporating the principles of The Pathwork and Core Energetics. Kathleen facilitated the first Northwest Pathwork Helpership Program which graduated four students preparing to be helpers in 2019. She co-facilitates and teaches with Ken in the Northwest Core Energetics Training in Portland.
Kathleen is a Core Energetics Therapist trained by John Pierrakos in the West Coast USA and assisted for five years in the CE training led by Siegmar and Cornelia Gerken. Kathleen continues to be inspired by the deep meditation practice of living the Guide Lectures of the Pathwork, being in life as a spiritual pilgrimage, walking and traveling, enjoying marriage and having fun with their two children now in their twenties.
Ken Goldberg is a Preventive Medicine Specialist and has been a Core Energetics Therapist since 1994 and part of the International faculty since 1998. He enjoys teaching and has taught at the graduate level in Allopathic, Naturopathic, and Chiropractic Universities, and currently is the director of a Core Energetic training in Portland, OR. Current passions include integrating the teachings of Energy Medicine, Human Development, and Spirituality, as well as rock climbing, whitewater kayaking and mountain biking.
Jeanne Denney (MA, CCEP, PE) is a somatic psychotherapist, Core Energetics practitioner, a death and life educator, a companion for those facing death, dying or grief. She is leader whose work bridges between these fields. In her US private practice, she works as a somatic and transpersonal psychologist, and a hospice worker for almost 20 years, helping individuals, groups, couples and families through all of life’s transitions. Jeanne is author of The Effects of Compassionate Presence on the Dying, and Founder, Director, and Teacher of the School of Unusual Life Learning (SoULL). She is also Facilitator, Teacher and Consultant at the Art of Dying Institute at the New York Open Center. Jeanne teaches in various Core Energetics master classes including the Netherlands Institute for Core Energetics, Core Esencia, and the Nyack Living Core Program and now also in our Institute.
Barra Kahn (MA, CCEP) is a senior faculty member at the Institute of Core Energetics and international trainer and workshop leader, maintains a practice in D.C., where she works with individuals, couples, groups, and leads workshops. Barra has led workshops in Washington, D.C., Connecticut, Philadelphia, New York, Rhode Island, Amsterdam, and Shanghai, China. Barra taught Yoga and body-work for over 40 years, and Nonverbal Communication at GMU for over 20 years. Formally, she was Artistic Director and faculty member at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. Barra is a member of the USABP (United States Association of Body Psychotherapists).
Dirk Marivoet, holds an MS. in Physiotherapy with an orientation in Mental Health from the University of Leuven in Belgium and a post-graduate in Psychomotor Therapy. In multidisciplinary teams he worked with Psychosis, Complex Trauma, Chronic Pain, Psychosomatics and Sociotherapy. He founded the International Institute for Bodymind Integration in Ghent. In the Human Potential Movement, he has taught and worked intensively with Bioenergetics, Core Energetics, Encounter, Sensitivity Training, Bonding, Regression, all kinds of Bodywork, Massage and Meditations. He practiced the Lakota Inipi for years, studied Shamanism, and is a certified Firewalk Instructor. After over 35 years of practicing and continued research, Dirk’s next project is the development of Core Strokes ™ — a body-mind-spirit practice in which he unifies Jack W. Painter’s deep bodywork, with principles coming from Core Energetics.
Nuno Salema is a Clinical Psychologist and a Core Energetics practitioner. Originally from Portugal, he is currently based in Berlin where he works with individual clients, couples and groups. He is the co-founder of the Holistic Embodiment for Authentic Leadership Program, a Self-Developmental Program based in the principles of Core Energetics and the Authentic Leadership Relational Model developed by him and his partner and colleague Sophie de Lacaze. This program is dedicated to support individuals to bring their unique creative potential into the world and to step into their leadership role n life. Nuno is also the founder of Men made Self, a support network for men who wish to explore themselves together with other men in a safe and conscious space.

I was trained as a Core Energetics therapist at the NICE Institute in Holland (2012-2016). I have a private practice in the Czech Republic, working with individuals and groups. Now I have the privelege of being a Teaching Assistant for the new Core Energetics institute in Poland.I am grateful to be part of this community and very much appreciate this connection between Czechia and Poland.

Ewa Januszkiewicz has been working as a body work therapist since 2012. She is a certified provider of TRE exercises (Tension Releasing Exercises), a graduate of the 4-year Bioenergetic Analysis training and a certified Core Energetics therapist.

Anna Broncel is a psychologist, oligophrenopedagogue and psychotherapist by education.
